Utah Senate committee gives tentative nod to federal designation in Wasatch canyons

A legislative committee gave unanimous support to the pursuit of a new federal designation for the Wasatch canyons, despite some members expressing reservations and one resident accusing the process of violating state law on a number of fronts.
